On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, the Pattonville Fire Protection District hosted a promotional pinning ceremony to celebrate Paramedic-Firefighter Stephen Holmes’ promotion to the rank of Captain in January 2022. Captain Holmes first served with the City of University City Fire Department beginning in 2008. Stephen joined the Pattonville Fire District in 2010 and has risen through the ranks of Paramedic-Firefighter, Acting Engineer, Acting Captain, and has now earned the promotion to his new role as Fire Captain. Captain Holmes holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Fire Science, and is a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 2665 Honor Guard.
