The Pattonville Fire Protection District has partnered with Impact Life and will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, March 16th, 2023, from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Donors will be rewarded with their choice of either a t-shirt or $10 gift card from Impact Life (first-time donors get a $25 gift card!). Additionally, Pattonville Fire District will be giving away three giveaway baskets that will be raffled off among those donating.  Each Basket will contain a Fire Extinguisher, CO detector, smoke detector, and a $50 visa card.

ImpactLife, formerly known as the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, provides lifesaving blood products to more than 120 hospitals in a four-state region. Although headquartered in Davenport, Iowa, Impact Life has a distribution hub in Earth City, MO, and is the primary provider of blood and blood products to hospitals in the St. Louis Metropolitan Region.

Pattonville Paramedic/Firefighter Kenny Krieg’s 5-year-old son, Beckett, is currently battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia and has received many blood and platelet transfusions over the past sixteen months since his diagnosis. Krieg said, “Blood transfusions quite literally saved my son’s life, and continue to support his body during his ongoing battle against leukemia. All of the blood he has received has come from generous donors through Impact Life. Being a donor myself, I’ve witnessed both sides of the process and know firsthand how much of a difference a single unit of donated blood can make.”
